Andrea Tettamanzi is an associate professor at the Information Technology Department of the University of Milan in Crema, where he currently teaches four classes: Computer Programming, Distributed Systems, Information Management, and Knowledge Discovery and Management.
He is the head of the LSI - Laboratorio di Sistemi Intelligenti / Intelligent Systems Laboratory.
His major research interests are: evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy logic, and soft computing (or computational intelligence) in general; recently, he has also engaged in research on the logical foundations of cognitive agents.
In 1995, he was one of the founders of Genetica S.r.l. - Advanced Software Architectures, a Milan-based company specializing in soft computing consulting and applications, of which he finally sold his share in 2008.
He is a member of ACM and EUSFLAT.
Current Organizational Activities
